Why Speaking Up Matters
At Terumo Europe, integrity is fundamental to how we operate. When individuals raise concerns, whether they are associates, customers, healthcare professionals, suppliers, partners, or members of the public, they play an essential role in helping us uphold the standards we are committed to. Speaking up is not only an act of responsibility, but also a contribution to a safer, more ethical, and more transparent healthcare environment.
By reporting concerns, stakeholders help Terumo maintain:
- Ethical Business Practices
Raising concerns supports our ability to detect and address behaviours that may conflict with our values or ethical responsibilities. Every report gives us an opportunity to take corrective action, strengthen our internal controls, and ensure that our decisions and business activities remain aligned with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Compliance with Global Regulatory Requirements
The healthcare sector is governed by strict regulations designed to protect patients, ensure fairness, and maintain public trust. When stakeholders report potential violations, they help us respond quickly and appropriately, ensuring our operations comply with applicable laws, industry guidelines, and regulatory expectations across all the regions in which we operate.
- A Safe and Respectful Environment for Patients, Healthcare Professionals, and Partners
Concerns raised by external stakeholders allow us to identify risks that could impact safety, fairness, or wellbeing. Whether the issue relates to product safety, interactions with healthcare professionals, data protection, or other sensitive matters, reporting helps us take preventive or corrective measures. This protects not only our community but also the patients ultimately relying on our products and services.
