Distal Hydrophilic Catheter Coating Designed for Smooth Navigability
Multi-Layered Shaft Design
Dedicated Stainless Steel Braiding Pattern
The Radifocus™ Glidecath™ Angiographic Catheter is a hydrophilic catheter designed to facilitate access through its lubricity and flexibility.
Engineered for use in both peripheral and neurovascular anatomy, this hydrophilic catheter is designed to support smooth navigation in tortuous vasculature and features the same proven coating technology used on Terumo’s Radifocus™ Guide Wire M.
The Radifocus™ Glidecath™ Angiographic Catheter serves an access and support catheter for procedures involving:
- Radiopaque media for diagnostic visualization.
- Delivery of therapeutic agents via compatible downstream devices
Beyond its delivery capabilities, the Radifocus™ Glidecath™ Angiographic Catheter is designed to facilitate access by leading guidewires or secondary catheters to the intended target site.
Distal Hydrophilic Catheter Coating Designed for Smooth Navigability
- Hydrophilic coating with Terumo’s proprietary Mcoat™ technology
- Provides excellent lubricity for smooth catheter movement through the vasculature1
- Designed to support smooth catheter advancement in challenging anatomy1,2
- Distal hydrophilic coating applied at 15, 20, or 40 cm from the tip, varying by catheter type and length
Multi-Layered Shaft Design
- The tungsten-filled polyurethane outer jacket provides high radiopacity for fluoroscopic visibility
- Smooth surface designed to support smooth catheter movement through the vasculature
Dedicated Stainless Steel Braiding Pattern
- Stainless steel braiding structure designed to ensure torque control
- Differential braiding pattern across size-variants:
1. single braiding for 5 Fr catheters
2. double braiding for 4 Fr catheters
- The 5 Fr catheters utilize a single braiding pattern to facilitate trackability (A), while the 4 Fr catheters feature a double braiding pattern designed for optimal pushability (B).
- This feature is compatible with Terumo’s Radifocus™ Guide Wire M for navigation in complex anatomy.
