Angiographic Catheter

Description

Radifocus Glidecath is a hydrophilic angiographic catheter intended for use in angiographic procedures in peripheral and neural vasculature. It delivers radiopaque media and therapeutic agents to selected sites in the vascular system. Glidecath is also used to lead a guidewire or a catheter into the target site.

Glidecath features the same hydrophilic coating as Terumo Guidewire M, which allows to reach the most distal points in the most tortuous anatomies. It is also indicated to deliver embolic material such as microspheres, PVA particles and macro coils.

Characteristics

  • Distal hydrophilic coating at 15, 25, and 40 cm, depending on catheter type and length, providing smooth navigability and allowing to selectively catheterize the most tortuous anatomies
  • Great braiding structure: the single braiding on the 5 Fr option and double braiding on the 4 Fr provide high trackability, especially when used in combination with Terumo's hydrophilic guidewires
  • Smooth, radiopaque surface prevents thrombus formation and ensures high visibility under fluoroscopy
  • A large lumen for a low profile: Glidecath 4 Fr (1.40 mm) is compatible with 0.038" (0.97 mm) guidewires and can be used as guiding catheter for microcatheters such as the Terumo Progreat
  • Resistant to high pressure: 750 psi (5.171 kPa) for the 4 Fr catheter and 1000 psi (6.895 kPa) for the 5 Fr
  • Special curves and lengths are available, including a straight, 150 cm option for lower limb recanalization and a Yashiro 3D shape for easy celiac trunk access
