Our Surflo™ Winged Infusion Sets with Protector incorporate the best of Terumo's needle technology allowing smooth skin penetration and are equipped with a shield cover, Surshield^®, designed to minimize the risk for potential needlestick injuries.

As soon as the needle is withdrawn from the vein, the protective shield can be manually placed over the entire needle using a onehanded technique. An audible click confirms the proper activation of the Surshield^® safety mechanism. Once covered, the needle stays fixed in the shield and the user can safely dispose of it into a sharps container or by following local guidelines for the disposal of these type of materials.

To ensure stability and grip during venipuncture, our winged infusion sets are equipped with color-coded (ISO), interlocking wings. The material of the tubing is flexible and free of kinking to encourage a consistent flow rate.
