High-Visibility Platinum/Iridium Marker designed for accurate positioning
Thin Radiopaque Sheath and Snap-on / Click-off Dilator Lock
Cross-cut Hemostasis Valve engineered to avoid blood reflux
Accurate placement of the distal tip is critical during percutaneous vessel access and subsequent interventional procedures.
The Radifocus™ Introducer II with Radiopaque Marker Introducer Sheath incorporates a platinum/iridium band at the distal end, aims to show the location of the tip and to support accurate positioning within the vessel.
This feature is particularly valuable in femoral and peripheral interventions where precise sheath placement is essential for procedural success.
High-Visibility Platinum/Iridium Marker
- Tip Visualization
1. Platinum/iridium marker band incorporated into the distal tip of the sheath
2. Allows for visualization under x-ray
- Accurate Positioning
1. Designed to show the exact location of the sheath distal tip
2. Aims to facilitate precise placement within the vascular anatomy
- Smooth Profile
1. Marker integrated into the sheath wall to maintain a smooth surface
2. Aims to reduce resistance during insertion and removal
3. Smooth transition of guidewire-to-dilator and dilator-to-sheath allows easy access1,2
Catheter Handling & Stability
- Thin Radiopaque Sheath
1. Small outside diameter and large inside diameter minimizes the size of the access site without compromising ease of device passage
2. Coupled with an anti-kinking sleeve for optimized catheter handling3.
- Snap-on / Click-off Dilator Lock:
1. Designed to prevent dilator back-out during insertion4,5
2. Allows for one-hand unlocking6
Cross-cut Hemostasis Valve
- Engineered to avoid blood reflux7,8
- Designed to prevent air aspiration during the procedure7,8
Numerical and Colour-Coded Size Identification
- Sheath Size Indicator
Sheath size is numerically marked on the hub for clear identification.
- Color-Coded Hubs
Hubs are color-coded to support quick and easy size determination:
Pink = 4 Fr
Light Grey = 5 Fr
Green = 6 Fr
Orange = 7 Fr
Blue = 8 Fr
Dark Grey = 9 Fr
Kit B is configured to support procedures requiring a dedicated guidewire for the initial access step.
