Mcoat™ – Hydrophilic Coating for Transradial Intervention
2
neutrals-100

The success of a transradial intervention depends on smooth vessel entry and radial artery reactivity management.

As a pioneer in vascular access, Terumo’s goal is to offer complete solutions for transradial interventions with devices designed to minimize patient stress and optimize procedural outcomes.

The Radifocus™ Introducer II Transradial Hydrophilic Introducer Sheath is a hydrophilic coated sheath designed to support these clinical challenges by incorporating Terumo’s proprietary hydrophilic coating, Mcoat™.

This specialized surface is intended to reduce penetration resistance1,3 and friction1,2 between the sheath and the arterial wall, thereby aiming to minimize the risk of radial artery spasm and reduce patient discomfort2,3 during sheath manipulation.
