Proprietary Hydrophilic Mcoat™ for friction reduction1,2 and patient comfort3
Total Integrated Fit (TIF) Technology for smooth penetration and reduced insertion force4,5
Catheter Handling & Stability
The success of a transradial intervention depends on smooth vessel entry and radial artery reactivity management.
As a pioneer in vascular access, Terumo’s goal is to offer complete solutions for transradial interventions with devices designed to minimize patient stress and optimize procedural outcomes.
The Radifocus™ Introducer II Transradial Hydrophilic Introducer Sheath is a hydrophilic coated sheath designed to support these clinical challenges by incorporating Terumo’s proprietary hydrophilic coating, Mcoat™.
This specialized surface is intended to reduce penetration resistance1,3 and friction1,2 between the sheath and the arterial wall, thereby aiming to minimize the risk of radial artery spasm and reduce patient discomfort2,3 during sheath manipulation.
Proprietary Hydrophilic Mcoat™
Unlike non-coated sheaths, this hydrophilic coated sheath features a hydrophilic polymer coating across the entire length of the sheath.
- Friction Reduction
Specifically engineered to facilitate easy insertion and atraumatic removal1-3
- Patient Comfort
Designed to reduce vessel spasm and patient discomfort2-3
Total Integrated Fit (TIF) Technology
- Tapered transition design at the tip of the sheath and dilator
- Intended to allow for smooth penetration and reduced insertion force4,5
Catheter Handling & Stability
- Thin Radiopaque Sheath
Coupled with an anti-kinking sleeve for optimized catheter handling6.
- Snap-on / Click-off Dilator Lock:
1. Designed to prevent dilator back-out during insertion7,8
2. Allows for one-hand unlocking9
Cross-cut Hemostasis Valve
- Engineered to avoid blood reflux10,11
- Designed to prevent air aspiration during the procedure10,11
