Angio-Seal™ VIP

Vascular Closure Device

Description

Simple.Proven. Fast Sealing1.

Angio-Seal™ VIP is indicated for closing and reducing time to hemostasis at the common femoral arterial puncture site (lumen diameter >4mm)  in patients who have undergone diagnostic angiography procedures or interventional procedures using
  • an 8 French or smaller procedural sheath for the 8Fr Angio-Seal device
  • or a 6French or smaller procedural sheath for the 6Fr Angio-Seal device.
Angio-Seal™ VIP is also indicated to allow patients to ambulate safely as soon as possible after sheath removal and device placement, following a diagnostic angiography and/or interventional procedures.

Characteristics

Angio-Seal contains 3 bioabsorbable components for active arteriotomy closure:

  • Hemostasis is achieved by sealing the arteriotomy with a bioabsorbable anchor and bioabsorbable collagen plug, held together by a bioabsorbable suture.
  • All implantable components resorb within 90 days.2
  • Arterial flow is not compromised, no evidence of chronic scar tissue or inflammation.

Proven

After more than 20 years on the market and numerous randomized clinical trials, Angio-Seal™ proved:

  • high deployment & hemostasis success rate3
  • to provide safe & effective closure of the femoral access site4
  • to have lower complication rates than manual compression5 & other VCDs6

Fast Sealing

Versus manual compression, Angio-Seal significantly reduces:

  • Time to hemostasis4
  • Time to ambulation1
  • Time to discharge7
