The use of safety devices has been proven beneficial in the prevention of sharps injuries in the hospital and healthcare sector1,2.

    Audible feedback and clear sheath window ensure confirmation of secure locking of the needle in the shield.

    Safety mechanism allows sheath activation with one hand.

    Can be fitted with standard Luer Slip or Luer Lock syringes.

    Easy identification of the required size by the ISO colorcodes.
  • Sharp point
    Facilitates the penetration of the skin and helps to minimize the trauma.
  • Silicone coating
    Provides good gliding properties and allows a smooth insertion.

Procedure

Step by step instructions

Procedure for activation of the safety mechanism:
Use one hand technique and push the tab forward with your finger or thumb so that the sheath is <90° from the needle. Keep your finger or thumb behind the tab at all times.

​​Position the sheath approx. 45° to a flat surface.

​Press down with a firm, quick motion until you hear a distinct audible click.

Agani™ Safety Hypodermic needles deliver a solution to prevent needle stick injuries. After withdrawing the needle, the attached safety shield can be activated to cover the needle and minimize the risk of an accidental needle stick.

All needle stick injuries have risk

  • They may carry dangerous pathogens such as Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus or HIV
  • They cause unnecessary anxiety and stress to healthcare workers
  • The prevention of worker‘s injuries caused by medical sharps is covered under the European Directive 2010/32/EU on the prevention from sharps injuries in the hospital and healthcare sector1
