The
history of our parent Company, Terumo Corporation, spans an even greater
period in medical device development. In the early 1920's, a group of
Japanese doctors responded to the shortage of medical equipment in Japan
by forming a company to develop a superior clinical thermometer for domestic
distribution. That company later became Terumo Corporation. It has continued
to grow and is now one of the largest suppliers of medical devices in
Japan.
