Announcement regarding earthquake in Eastern Shizuoka Prefecture

16/03/2011 - Tokyo, Japan

Announcement regarding earthquake in Eastern Shizuoka Prefecture

One employee at the Ashitaka factory (located in Shizuoka) was slightly wounded.

Currently, production has been stopped at both the Ashitaka and the Fujinomiya facilities (also located in Shizuoka) in order to check and, if need be, repair the building and manufacturing floors. Terumo has initiated massive recovery efforts.

The Terumo Kofu factory (located in Nakakoma in the Yamanashi Prefecture) has resumed production, taking into account the scheduled electrical power blackout periods. Today, it was announced that Terumo hopes to resume production at its Fujinomiya site within the next 24 hours.

Terumo will continue to provide updated information as it becomes available.

We apologize to all those affected for inconveniences related to the current situation in Japan and ask for your kind understanding.
