Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Responsibility

Terumo Europe continuously strives for excellence in every aspect of corporate social responsibility.

We believe in the importance of collaboration and our goal is to always be a reliable partner. For us it is essential that all partnerships are based on mutual respect, integrity, and understanding. Our business is improving the lives of people. Hence, we work hard to maintain a healthy balance between ecological awareness, economic success, and the well-being of our associates, customers and the patients they serve.

One example of this dedication is the recent development of extensive Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems which have been certified by independent international institutions.

Terumo Europe now holds ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.

Environmental Commitment

In compliance with Article 33(1) of the Regulation No. 1907/2006 on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Terumo communicates which of our devices include a ‘Substance of Very High Concern’ (SVHC, i.e. a substance appearing on the so-called Candidate List) in a concentration of more than 0.1% (w/w). This Candidate List has been updated several times since its first publication on October 28th, 2008.

Based on information available to us, some of our products do contain SVHC in a concentration above 0.1% (w/w). A list of these products is made to the best of our knowledge based on information received from different (material) suppliers. We cannot, however, be held accountable for its completeness or correctness. We are in constant dialogue with our suppliers in order to gather updated information.
