Terumo® and Pall® Medical brand filter products for cardiopulmonary bypass use state-of-the art filtration technology to provide added patient safety. Recently launched products such as the Pall AL3 and AL6 arterial filters have significantly reduced priming volumes and pressure drops. The Terumo® AL8X arterial filter, coated with X Coating™, Terumo’s own biocompatible amphiphilic polymer surface coating, offers excellent biocompatibility. Pall® brand leukocyte reduction filters further contribute to patient safety by protecting bypass patients from the negative effects of activated leukocytes.
