The Terumo® Advanced Perfusion System 1 is Terumo’s most recent contribution to the legendary line of Sarns™ heart-lung machines. System 1 has provided excellent flexibility and an intuitive platform to the perfusion community since its introduction in 2002 and the technology continues to evolve. Years of clinical feedback and engineering enhancements have lead to significant improvements in design, durability, performance, and ease of use which were brought to market in 2008.
All Terumo electromechanical products, including cooling/heating devices and sternal saws, demonstrate design sensibility and quality-driven manufacturing. We also produce the Sarns™ Centrifugal System, a system that introduced important features such as the non-invasive flow sensor and pulsatile flow capability.
